Chapter 782

Doflamingo demands to know why Luffy keeps stopping him from crushing Law's skull, then attacks again, only for Luffy to repel him with conqueror's Haki, a power that stuns both Law and Trebol. The two combatants press their wills against each other while Trebol recalls a ten-year-old Doflamingo manifesting the same Haki three decades ago, when he handed the former World Noble a gun and the Ito Ito no Mi to take revenge on anyone he pleased.

Luffy lands a chest kick, hammers Doflamingo twice with Haki-coated fists, and goes for Eagle Bazooka, but Doflamingo slips the blow and kicks him into the roof's edge with Athlete Thread.

Trebol pins Luffy with his mucus so Doflamingo can finish Law, and reveals that he, Vergo, Diamante, and Pica took the young runaway under their wing and groomed him into a king, eliminating anything that hurt him, even burning a whole town because he tripped on its street. He prepares to set Law ablaze, but Law brands him Doflamingo's puppet, enraging him into a reckless lunge. Law spins his severed arm with Takt and runs Sterben through Trebol. Stripped of his mucus and exposed as gaunt, Trebol spits on his lighter and triggers a massive explosion to take Law down with him.

The cover continues the Jinbe story. This installment confirms the Beta Beta no Mi is a Paramecia rather than a Logia, shows Doflamingo's history with his four oldest executives, and offers the first full look at Pica's face in flashback. The mini-series cover notably ran ahead of the main timeline for the first time.
