Summary

Cacao Island's people reel at the sight of Bege shooting Oven, who climbs to his feet vowing to execute him personally as his soldiers report being surrounded. Pudding panics over the sealed harbor, yet Bege drives the Nostra Castello forward, and upon reaching the coast its paddles convert into tank treads, exposing the ship as amphibious. Thunderstruck, Oven commands his men to open fire on both Bege and the vessel. When the chefs protest that the cake cannot be passed across safely, Sanji boots the whole carriage onto the ship, leaving Oven baffled that a mere cook could launch something so huge with a single leg.

Key Events

The cake settles safely as Chiffon and Bege embrace with Pez and Pudding swoons over Sanji once more. Refusing to move, Oven is flattened by the ship, which then reaches open water. As they pull away, Chiffon waves at a beaming Pound without realizing he is her father, though Pez happily waves back at his grandfather. Oven survives and boils the ocean with his Netsu Netsu no Mi, scalding the fish and endangering both the paddles and the cake. Pound charges in with a club and cracks the back of Oven's skull, shattering his weapon and forcing the temperature down.

Notes

A flashback set twenty-six years earlier shows Big Mom casting Pound aside the moment Chiffon and Lola were born, before he could even hold them. Straightening his tie, Pound silently begs his daughters' forgiveness yet feels thankful to have glimpsed Chiffon happy and wed at least once, as Oven swings a heated blade at his neck and Pez breaks into sobs. Aboard the Sunny, the crew, Jinbe, and Carrot are again hounded by Big Mom and her Tarteships, pressing on while Sanji tells the chefs to begin decorating. The cover closes the alliance's side story as they leave the Longarm and Longleg crews behind.
