The Treasure Ship of Provisions

Within Okobore a mother quiets her weeping, starving son, while a desperate father races to Tsuru seeking jyagan grass after his own boy sipped from the river. Buried deep inside Bakura, in sharp contrast, lies the Paradise Farm, brimming with quality food and clean water, though a worker there receives merely five silver and is beaten for arguing that such pay cannot sustain his household. Wheeling a supply cart from the farm toward her crew, the headliner Speed hears the fire bell and directs the response, only to spot a trail of rubble where Holed'em's house once stood. Close by, as Tama calls for rescue, Holed'em jeers at the trio, threatening that his beast Kamijiro will rip her apart should anyone stir, and he suspects them of riding with Shutenmaru's Mt. Atama Thieves, the ones who looted the farm a few weeks prior. Kiku urges Luffy not to provoke the man, for the dreaded Jack, who truly rules Kuri, backs him. Both Straw Hats recall the name and are stunned he lives, certain he had drowned, yet Kiku says he was sighted locally days earlier.

The provocation stokes Luffy's fury, and Holed'em only laughs while bearing his lion down harder on the girl. Rolling up with her cart, Speed asks what all the noise is about, and the enemy crew cheers at the sight of food, which enrages Luffy that they alone get to eat. Just as he and Zoro brace to attack, Hawkins and his followers enter, and a basket-hooded Law abruptly blocks their path, keen to remove his fellow Supernova before recognition sets in. The moment Holed'em orders Kiku's execution, Luffy hits the lion in an instant and frees the child, Zoro slices through the pirates below, and Komachiyo bears Kiku away. Catching sight of the bruise on her face and hearing that pliers had been used to extract food from it, an incensed Luffy sets her down, weathers Kamijiro's flames without a scratch, and drives Red Hawk into Holed'em's face while Tama continues her fall.

Making her debut, Speed draws power from a horse-type SMILE fruit. Wrongly, Holed'em pegs the trio as members of Shutenmaru's band of thieves. The lion head fused onto his body carries the name Kamijiro. The rescue of Tama coincides with Luffy's defeat of both Holed'em and the beast. As it happens, Jack lived through the wreck of his failed strike on Zou and has come back to Wano, where he governs the Kuri region. Positioned in Hawkins' way, Law goes unrecognized by him. In the end, the group of Luffy, Zoro, Komachiyo, and Kiku carries off a haul of food seized from the enemy.
