Shogun and Oiran

Playing her shamisen behind a kitsune mask, Komurasaki entrances Orochi and his guests inside the castle, and one wonders why she always covers her face for this particular song. In a separate room, Fukurokuju demands Robin give her name, offering a quick death for the truth and torture for silence. Robin claims to be Ushimitsu Kozo, come to study the flow of money through the capital. Ordered captured, she is pelted with shuriken and tied up, but a ninja recalls the real thief already surfaced that day, and the bound figure crumbles away, a decoy. The genuine Robin hastens back to the hall, glad of the ruse, and warns Nami, Brook, and Shinobu that eleven ninja stalk the castle and her cover is blown.

Orochi greets Robin gladly and fusses over Komurasaki despite guests noting her notorious name, while she sulks in jealousy. Catching sight of a ninja on the ceiling, Robin angles her mask to hide before questioning the shogun about Onigashima, which startles him. Orochi then commands the room's attention, invoking Toki's prophecy that this is the year the Kouzuki Family strikes back, and warns that Oden's Nine Red Scabbards, headed by Kin'emon, have resurfaced and may lie behind the recent assaults. Convinced Oden's people are long dead, the guests fight back laughter until Toko bursts out loudly. Enraged, Orochi draws his blade and charges the girl; Komurasaki pleads for her, then strikes him across the face when he refuses. Declaring she would sooner die than live meekly as his wife, she watches him swell into an eight-headed dragon as Robin snatches Toko and runs.

It is confirmed that the masked shamisen player who bookends the arc is Komurasaki herself. Robin gives the Orochi Oniwabanshu the slip and returns to the feast, where Nami, Shinobu, and Brook are also present inside the castle. Orochi speaks of Oden's Nine Red Scabbards, whom Kin'emon led, and his full-beast Yamata no Orochi form is plainly displayed. The cover request shows goats eating Caesar Clown's letters one after another.
