Chapter 228: Life or Death 2

Determined to leave none of Aggregation's copies alive, Tatsumaki grinds all of P-City down to sand. Blue struggles against the acid-spitting Eel Dragon in L-City, while in T-City Genos torches The Extended Family of Darkness with a colossal blast, likely his Incineration Cannon, and comes out of it badly wrecked.

Because Aggregation multiplies without limit, Tatsumaki refuses to spare even one hidden bug and tears up the whole landscape around her. After an unseen final exchange she stands untouched in what is now a barren waste where P-City stood, mocking the creature for thinking sheer numbers could beat her, yet conceding that if the monster only wanted ruin then it got its wish, since she had to reduce the city to grains of sand to be sure. A news helicopter descends and the crew scolds her for not waiting on the Neo Heroes and for the scale of the damage. She snaps back that the entire continent would have been devoured, but the reporters simply frame her as showing no regret, and she storms off. Surveying the flattened ground, she warns that although she survived, the region's infrastructure is spent, and humanity will not last unless it starts guarding against these attacks in advance.

In L-City, Blue trades blows with Eel Dragon, a Dragon-level foe whose acid jets eat away at everything nearby, and takes note of its power. In T-City, Genos has already destroyed The Extended Family of Darkness but stands battered and heavily damaged. The cyborg reflects that even as he improves, the monsters climb in strength just as fast, so his gains feel hollow; calling it a game of cat and mouse would undersell it, yet he steels himself to grow stronger still.

"Life or Death 2" (Kikyū Sonbō Ni) released online on April 9, 2026 as Tonari number 273 and part of the Neo Heroes Uprising Arc, adapting webcomic chapter 129. The fifteen-page chapter carries Tatsumaki on its cover. Genos's finishing blast is presented as most likely his Incineration Cannon or a variant of it.
