Field of View became immortalized in Dragon Ball GT history through their mega-hit single "DAN DAN Kokoro Hikarete 'ku," which served as the opening theme for the entire series. The song's lyrics were written by Izumi Sakai of the band Zard. This single became one of the band's most recognizable achievements, reaching audiences worldwide through the anime's international broadcast. Band History

Field of View was formed on February 9, 1994, by vocalist U-ya Asaoka, guitarist Takashi Oda, keyboardist Jun Abe, and drummer Takuto Kohashi. After initially performing as \"view\" and releasing two singles, the group solidified its lineup when bassist Kenji Niitsu joined in 1995. The band lasted until December 2002, releasing 22 singles, five studio albums, and five compilation albums in total. Their first concert, Live Horizon Version 1, occurred in 1996, with subsequent tours expanding their presence throughout the 1990s. The band reunited in 2012 for a special event and again in 2020 for their 25th anniversary celebration, proving the lasting impact of their work.
