Mario Castañeda is the definitive Mexican Spanish voice of adult Son Goku, bringing powerful gravitas to the character across Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, and Dragon Ball Super. His deep, commanding voice became synonymous with Goku for Spanish-speaking audiences across Latin America. Beyond the main character, Castañeda voiced Bardock, Turles, and Goku Black, giving each incarnation and counterpart a distinct vocal identity. Castañeda studied acting at Instituto Andrés Soler and began his dubbing career in 1983 at Sonomex Doblajes, eventually working across multiple studios including Servicio Internacional de Sonido and Producciones Salgado. Beyond Dragon Ball, he has dubbed major Hollywood actors including Bruce Willis, Jim Carrey, and Tom Hanks, and has served as a dubbing director for television and film, earning recognition as one of Mexico's most respected dubbing professionals.
