Appearance

The shape Querehsha wears is that of a tall, shapely young woman, her skin pale, her eyes a glowing red, her long black hair spilling down above lips of dark purple. Insect-like features mark her body, the arms and legs most of all. Greenish-black armor covers her, tailored so that her shoulders and the upper curve of her chest stay exposed.

Personality

Killing is what Querehsha lives for, and she savors each opening to put down her prey. Under that thirst for slaughter sits a mothering streak toward her minions, creatures she regards as her own children, a warmth that twists into obsession through the possessive grip she keeps trying to fix on Beru.

History

Not long once Tokyo's S-Rank Gate has been cleared, Querehsha joins Rakan and Tarnak in cornering Christopher Reed at his home; he calls up a Spiritual Body Manifestation in self-defense, but the three together prove too much, and they slay him, leaving his ruined body for humans to find. Later, once Sillad discovers the Shadow Monarch has turned traitor and asks the others to help kill Ashborn's vessel before it is too late, Querehsha agrees at once, convinced Jinwoo is still weak and short of his full power, even as Tarnak and Yogumunt decline.

Days afterward, when Jinwoo arrives to confront the rampaging Rakan in Seoul, Querehsha and Sillad appear and the three set upon him together. Mid-battle, however, she loses her concentration, distracted by her drive to force Beru's submission, and the lapse leaves her open for Jinwoo to slip behind her and cut her in two. She regrows her entire body and tries her venom on him, only to find him immune and be mocked for it. Furious, she triggers her Spiritual Body Manifestation and charges to kill, but Jinwoo dodges with Ruler's Authority and shreds her with his Mutilation skill. Accepting defeat in silence, she dies of her wounds and crumbles into dust.

Among the nine Monarchs and queen over insects, Querehsha was tremendously powerful. Her immense strength let her draw blood from Jinwoo with a punch and pin Beru bare-handed; she shaped mana into huge glowing green hands and oozed a fiercely concentrated venom from her body. Necromancy let her reanimate and steer corpses through parasites, and she could rip open gates to other worlds. Her regeneration ran near-instant, restoring her whole frame within seconds after being halved, yet it carried a limit and could not rebuild her a second time once she was carved into many pieces. Through Spiritual Body Manifestation she became an insect monster bristling with appendages along its back, and with Pledge of Trust she could bind two parties so neither could deceive the other.
