Flow recorded a cover of Cha-La Head-Cha-La for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, the 2013 theatrical film. Their rendition served as the film's opening theme and gained broader exposure when it was adopted as the opening theme for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z, a 2014 video game, and for the final episode of Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters. This made their version a touchstone for a new generation of Dragon Ball fans.

Flow earned recognition as a premier anime music provider, establishing themselves through opening themes for major series including Naruto, Eureka Seven, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Beelzebub, and The Seven Deadly Sins. As of 2014, they had released 27 singles while signed to a major record label, cementing their position as one of Japan's leading anime rock bands.
