Gather Together! Group of the Strongest Shinigami!

On Sokyoku Hill, Aizen shrugs off a strike from Komamura's shikai and greets the seventh-division captain as if nothing has changed. A flashback traces how Komamura and Tosen first met in an open field, later joined the Gotei 13 side by side, and bonded over the reasons they became Shinigami while mourning at the grave of Tosen's friend Kakyo. In the present, Komamura moves to release his Bankai, only for Aizen to flatten him with an incantationless Kurohitsugi.

As a wounded Ichigo marvels at the gulf in power, Aizen and Gin calmly lay out the conspiracy: the Central 46 were slaughtered soon after Rukia's discovery, their chamber puppeted through hypnosis while the plotters issued orders from hiding. Rukia's execution by the Sokyoku, Aizen explains, was meant to vaporize her soul and expose the Hogyoku sealed within it. Producing green pillars, he drives his hand into her chest, draws out the tiny orb, and orders Gin to kill her, only for a bloodied Byakuya to intercept Gin's extending blade with his own body.

Reinforcements crash the scene. Kukaku fires Raikoho from Jidanbo's shoulder while Yoruichi and Sui-Feng pin Aizen with blades at his throat and Rangiku restrains Gin. A wall of captains and lieutenants closes in, but Aizen only smiles as Menos pour from a vast gate above and bathe the three traitors in Negacion beams that lift them beyond reach. Removing his glasses, Aizen declares the throne of heaven vacant and claims it for himself before the gate seals him away.

Relief squads tend the wounded and Unohana arrives astride Minazuki. Summoned to Byakuya's side, Rukia hears a long-hidden truth: his late wife Hisana was in fact her older sister, who abandoned the infant Rukia in Inuzuri and spent her remaining years searching for her. Byakuya confesses the two vows he broke for Hisana's sake, apologizes to Rukia, and thanks Ichigo for reminding him what mattered.

The episode adapts the climax of the Soul Society rescue, expanding Tosen's first meeting with Komamura and Gin's paralysis of Ichigo's friends while trimming several minor reactions. A comedic skit shows Tessai ripping apart Kon's plush body after mistaking a scuffle between Kon and Jinta for a genuine fight. The Hisana revelation closes the arc's emotional throughline.
