The Hundred-Year Grudge...Hiyori's Revenge

With Tier Harribel plummeting into the town, Mashiro Kuna notes the last Espada is down before Wonderweiss Margela lunges at her again. She boots him away, and Kensei Muguruma reminds her of her mask limit, which she shrugs off. The two Arrancar trade blows until part of Mashiro's mask cracks, letting Wonderweiss shatter it entirely. Kensei steps in, carries her clear, and tells her he will not rescue someone who ignores warnings before releasing his Bankai, Tekken Tachikaze, against the boy.

Elsewhere the surviving Visored and Shinigami square up to Sousuke Aizen. Hiyori Sarugaki declares she means to settle a hundred-year debt, explaining that she resents him not for the betrayal itself but for wounding her friends, and vows not to return to her old self until he is dead. When Aizen taunts them all as already dead, Hiyori charges, only for Gin Ichimaru to run her through from behind. Shinji Hirako catches her falling body, lays her on a broken rooftop, and, unable to rely on the one-armed Hachigen, cries out for Ichigo to hurry back so Orihime can heal her.

Atop Las Noches, Uryū Ishida convinces Ichigo to descend and help the others. Below, Renji Abarai unleashes Hihiō Zabimaru against Yammy Llargo, but the Bankai shatters on the Espada's fist. Renji binds Yammy with the broken links so Sado and Rukia can strike with El Directo and Hakuren, yet Yammy simply raises his Reiatsu to shrug it all off. He knocks out Renji and Sado, snatches Rukia from the air, and lets her choose her death, only for her Sōkatsui to do nothing before he hurls her away. Ichigo spots her and races to intercept.

Kensei releases Tekken Tachikaze after Mashiro's Hollow mask is destroyed. Hiyori confronts Aizen and is impaled from behind by Gin, leaving Shinji desperate for a healer. Uryū urges Ichigo to leave Las Noches and rejoin the fight. Yammy overpowers Renji, Sado, and Rukia, throwing Rukia toward Ichigo, who charges to catch her.

The episode adapts chapters 376 through 378 and belongs to the second part of the fake Karakura Town arc, opening with ChAngE and closing with Echoes. A lighthearted "Karakura Town: Secrets of the Seven Mysteries" segment shows Ichigo finding Rangiku's gigai dressed up in a mall, with Ikkaku's gigai stuffed into swim trunks.
