Bulma's Voice
Hiromi Tsuru was the original and primary voice of Bulma across all Dragon Ball iterations: the original Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Z Kai, and Dragon Ball Super. Beyond Bulma herself, she also voiced her daughter Bulla, her sister Tights, and provided voices for the infant forms of Piccolo and Trunks. She rounded out her Dragon Ball roles with the West Supreme Kai, though this performance went uncredited in the Z series. Tsuru recorded her final lines as Bulma in episode 96 of Dragon Ball Super, delivering the memorable line, "We're counting on you, everyone."
Career and Legacy
Tsuru was a seasoned voice actress represented by Aoni Production, known for her range and ability to voice both major and minor characters. Outside Dragon Ball, she voiced Meryl Stryfe in Trigun and Yubel in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. She passed away on November 16, 2017, at age 57, and was succeeded in the role of Bulma by fellow veteran actress Aya Hisakawa.
