Appearance

Heavyset in build, Mondée carries a full face and a thick neck, the latter concealing the elongated neck typical of snakeneck lineage. Teal-colored hair falls in long waves, and she tops it with a broad black hat ringed by pink flowers, worn over a buttoned gown in yellow. For the tea party she applied bold lipstick, without which her lips read as rather thin.

Personality

Devotion to kin and crew marks her character; she turned up at a strategy meeting on the Big Mom Pirates' rivals in the run-up to Pudding's wedding. Verbal tics are part of her: she caps her sentences with -mondée, rendered in the Funimation dub as a prim -monder that reshapes certain words. Her attachment to family runs deep, evident in the closeness she shares with her quadruplet siblings; she accompanied Effilée and Amande back to the homeland Amande protects, shielding its people from their unhinged mother's rampage. The anime shows her breaking off an attack rather than risk striking Brûlée when Luffy used the captured sister as a shield.

History

Born 47 years before the present to Big Mom and a snakeneck father, Mondée arrived first among four sororal quadruplets, ahead of Amande, Hachée, and Effilée. On the eve of Pudding's marriage to Sanji, she joined a gathering at the Whole Cake Chateau to assess the Straw Hats and their allies. The following day she attended both the tea party and the wedding, which erupted when the Straw Hats, together with the Fire Tank Pirates, botched an attempt on Big Mom's life; the crew overwhelmed those attackers, and when the exploding Tamatebako toppled the Chateau, Streusen softened everyone's landing by converting part of it to cake.

In non-canon events she traveled to Nuts Island and cornered Luffy after he snatched Brûlée, only to have him repeatedly raise the captured woman as a shield against her strikes. She eventually brought him down to ground level by cleaving apart the structure beneath his feet.
