The Decision to Part! Sanji and the Straw Hat Bento

With Nami and Jinbe pulled to safety in the Mirro-World, the team turns its attention to locating Luffy, Sanji, and Brook. Pedro warns Jinbe that the roulette wheel Big Mom forces deserters to spin is rigged to be fatal, explaining why he never stayed. In the throne room, a captured Brook hangs by a thread and overhears Pudding and Big Mom mapping out the plan to wipe out the Vinsmoke Family and seize the Germa clone army, while glimpsing Pudding's hidden third eye.

Senior crew members gather to tally the intruders and, wanting to dodge blame, Opera falsely claims Luffy and Nami burned to death. Mont-d'Or ends the meeting but keeps a wary eye on Opera. Out in Sweet City, hunger nearly fells Luffy against Chess Soldiers and two pirates, yet he digs up enough strength to flatten them. Inside the castle, Sanji finishes a bento and accepts that he will die at the wedding, then sends Bobbin flying when the man tries to steal his food.

Jinbe and Nami reach the Mirro-World, and Pedro reveals the lethal design of Big Mom's roulette. Brook, strung up in the throne room, learns the Vinsmoke assassination plot and sees Pudding's third eye. The Charlotte officers wrongly conclude every intruder is dead or caught, with Opera lying to save face. Luffy downs his attackers using Jet Pistol and Rocket despite his starvation. Sanji unknowingly fills a basket with each Straw Hat's favorite dish, commits to dying alongside his family so the crew can flee, and boots Bobbin away before escaping notice. This episode marks the debuts of Charlotte Nusstorte, Mondee, Kato, and Dacquoise.

The anime invents Luffy's brawl with the four Sweet City foes and adds a gag where Diesel refuses to haul the overloaded cart until Carrot bites him into motion. Where the manga kept Pudding's third eye visible throughout her talk with Big Mom, the episode only reveals it once the assassination plan comes up. Charlotte Melise, present in the source, is left out entirely. The installment is part of the Whole Cake Island arc.
