Arak holds the title of God of Destruction for Universe 5, a universe that ranks among the top four in mortal level. This high standing means Universe 5, like Universes 1, 8, and 12, is exempt from competing in the Tournament of Power and is never threatened with erasure.

He appears during the events surrounding the Tournament of Power as a spectator, watching the battles unfold from the stands alongside the other exempt gods. Arak is accompanied by his angel attendant Cukatail, who serves as his martial arts teacher.

Arak also participates in the brief skirmish that erupts among all twelve Gods of Destruction before the tournament officially begins.
