Biography and Story Role

Ginger led Garlic Jr.'s Three Lords in carrying out their master's plan to gather the Dragon Balls and wish for immortality. He personally attacked Chi-Chi and knocked out Ox-King from behind to seize the Four-Star Dragon Ball from Gohan's hat, kidnapping the young boy in the process.

After Garlic Jr. achieved his wish for immortality, Ginger and his comrades Nicky and Sansho guarded the castle. When Goku arrived to rescue Gohan, Ginger fought alongside Nicky against the Saiyan. Both Ginger and Nicky could transform into larger, more powerful forms during battle. However, Goku overpowered them, and Ginger was killed when Goku's Kamehameha blasted Nicky into him, destroying them both.

His name follows the spice-themed naming convention of Garlic Jr.'s henchmen. In the Japanese version, his battle cry "Shogoyaki" is a pun referencing grilled pork.
