Role in the Story

Following Frieza's defeat on Namek and subsequent destruction by Future Trunks, the Frieza Force steadily falls apart under constant infighting and territorial losses. Sorbet, a small but resourceful commander, manages to hold the remnants together through sheer administrative determination. Recognizing that the organization cannot survive without its emperor, he devises a plan to resurrect Frieza.

Sorbet travels to Earth alongside his subordinate Tagoma, locates the Dragon Balls with the help of Pilaf's gang, and wishes Frieza back to life. After Frieza trains and achieves his Golden form, Sorbet accompanies the invasion force to Earth. During the climactic battle between Frieza and Goku, Sorbet fires a surprise laser beam from his ring that strikes Goku through the chest, nearly killing him. This underhanded tactic momentarily turns the tide in Frieza's favor.

However, Sorbet's triumph is short-lived. When Frieza fires a Death Beam intended for Krillin, Vegeta deflects it straight into Sorbet, killing the commander who had worked so hard to bring his emperor back.
