Destroyer Form

Top had spent his career as the leader of the Pride Troopers, a warrior of justice who fought to protect Universe 11. However, he was also secretly being groomed as the successor to Belmod, Universe 11's God of Destruction. When the Tournament of Power pushed Top to his limits, particularly after Android 17 and Golden Frieza pressured him with attacks that his normal power could not answer, Top made a decisive choice. He declared that justice and evil were concepts he had moved beyond, and that only existence and non-existence mattered. With that declaration, he released the Destruction energy that Belmod had been training him to wield.

Destruction Energy in Action

In the Destroyer Form, Top could erase matter on contact with his Destruction energy, making his attacks extraordinarily dangerous. Even blocking his strikes was hazardous because the energy itself could annihilate whatever it touched. Frieza, who had been dominating Top moments earlier in his Golden form, was completely overwhelmed once the Destroyer Form activated. Android 17's barriers, which had withstood enormous punishment throughout the tournament, began to crack under the pressure. Only Vegeta, having unlocked a form beyond Super Saiyan Blue through his own pride and determination, was able to challenge and ultimately defeat Top by overpowering the Destruction energy with his own evolved power.
