Angel

The Angel state refers to the condition of being dead in the Dragon Ball universe while retaining one's physical body in Other World. Distinguished by the signature golden halo floating above the head, this status allows powerful warriors to continue their existence, train, and even fight in afterlife tournaments. It is not a transformation in the traditional sense but rather a designation that certain deceased individuals receive.

Awakened Form

The Awakened Form is the controlled version of a Heeter's unleashed inner nature, achieved when the user masters the berserk power that would otherwise consume their rational mind. Gas is the only confirmed user, having first tapped into this power during a fight with Bardock decades before the main events of the Granolah arc. The form was officially named in the Dragon Ball Super Interval Special.

Charging Form

The Charging Form, also known as Transforming Ability, refers to the capacity certain alien warriors possess to physically restructure their bodies into more powerful combat configurations. The most famous example is Zarbon, who concealed a hulking reptilian form beneath his handsome exterior. Unlike the Frieza Race's power-suppressing forms, these transformations generally unlock hidden reserves of strength at the cost of a more bestial or monstrous appearance.

Culture Fluid Absorption Gigantification

Culture Fluid Absorption Gigantification is a giant form taken on by Bio-Broly after absorbing the Culture Fluid within Mei Queen Castle. The state dramatically increases the user's size and power, but it carries a fatal weakness: because the body is partially composed of Culture Fluid, exposure to seawater causes it to solidify into stone. This vulnerability ultimately led to Bio-Broly's destruction.

Destroyer Form

The Destroyer Form is a transformation that grants its user the traits and powers of a God of Destruction, including access to the devastating Destruction energy. Its most prominent user is Top of Universe 11, who activated it during the Tournament of Power after abandoning his commitment to justice. The form represents the culmination of training under a God of Destruction and serves as the divine counterpart to the angelic Ultra Instinct.

Dragomin

Dragomin is a naturally occurring growth hormone found in the blood of dragons native to Ronron Island, featured in Akira Toriyama's manga Kajika. The hormone is responsible for the rapid maturation of infant dragons after hatching. When consumed by an Earthling, it triggers a transformation into a dragon-human hybrid with extraordinary powers.

Evil Saiyan

Evil Saiyan is a dark transformation unique to certain Saiyans, most prominently the ancient warrior Cumber from Super Dragon Ball Heroes. It represents the polar opposite of divine transformations like Super Saiyan God, channeling dark, primal Saiyan energy rather than godly ki. The form grants tremendous power but comes with a loss of control and a corrupting influence that can spread to others.

Frieza Final Form

Frieza's true, original body. Contrary to what the name suggests, this is not a powered-up state but the form Frieza was born in. His other forms actually suppress his power to make it more manageable. In his natural state, Frieza is smaller, sleeker, and entirely white and purple, with a clean, minimalist design that belies the astronomical power within. At full output, his power level reached 120 million during the battle on Namek.

Frieza Second Form

Frieza's first transformation on Planet Namek, unleashed after the Earthlings and Vegeta pushed his initial form to its limits. This state dramatically increased his size, making him taller and far more muscular, with elongated horns that became weapons in their own right. His power level surged past one million, making him the strongest being any of the Z Fighters had encountered to that point.

Frieza Third Form

The briefest of Frieza's transformations on Namek, adopted after Piccolo's fusion with Nail allowed the Namekian to match his Second Form. Frieza's Third Form featured a dramatically elongated skull, sharp spikes protruding from his back, and a xenomorphic appearance that was arguably his most alien and unsettling look. He used it only long enough to dominate Piccolo before moving on to his true final state.

Fury Tamagami

Fury Tamagami is a rage-enhanced state achieved by the Tamagami, the powerful dragon guardians that protect the Dragon Balls in Dragon Ball Daima. When pushed to their limits in combat, these guardians access a heightened power state characterized by an intensified aura and more aggressive fighting style. The transformation makes the already formidable Tamagami even more dangerous.

Ghost Warrior

Ghost Warriors are spectral recreations of deceased fighters, generated by the Tuffle supercomputer Hatchiyack as part of Dr. Raichi's plan to eradicate the Saiyan race. Appearing in the Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans OVA and its remake, these phantoms replicate the power and abilities of villains like Frieza, Cooler, Turles, and Lord Slug, serving as the vanguard of Raichi's revenge against the Saiyans for the genocide of the Tuffle race.

Giant Ball

Giant Ball is a transformation used by Monna of Universe 4 during the Tournament of Power. The technique involves inflating her body into an enormous spherical shape, dramatically increasing her size and allowing her to use her mass as both a defensive shield and an offensive weapon by rolling into opponents. The form resembles a massive ball that can crush adversaries beneath its weight.

Giant Form

Giant Form is a broad category of transformations that increase the user's physical size to enormous proportions. Used by a variety of characters across the Dragon Ball franchise, from Piccolo and Lord Slug to tournament fighters like Hatchiyack, the concept of growing to immense size is one of the oldest power-up methods in the series. While impressive in scale, the form's effectiveness varies greatly depending on the user's base power level.

Giant Form (Serpent Demon Clan)

A size-increasing transformation innate to members of the Serpent race of the Demon Clan, most famously used by Garlic Jr. and his subordinates to dramatically enhance their physical power.

Giga Metaboria

Giga Metaboria is a powerful transformation state featured in the Dragon Ball Fusions video game. It represents an advanced application of the Metamo-Ring fusion technology, pushing the EX-Fusion concept beyond its standard limits to achieve a dramatically higher level of power. The form is exclusive to the Fusions game continuity.

Golden Great Ape

The fusion of two of the Saiyan race's most fundamental transformations: the Great Ape and the Super Saiyan. When a Saiyan who has achieved Super Saiyan is exposed to Blutz Waves while retaining their tail, they transform into this colossal golden beast. It serves as the critical intermediate stage on the path to Super Saiyan 4 in Dragon Ball GT, requiring the user to regain their rational mind while in this berserk state.

Great Ape

The primal transformation of the Saiyan race, triggered when a Saiyan with a tail absorbs enough Blutz Waves from a full moon. The user becomes a towering ape roughly ten times their normal size, with their power multiplied tenfold. This form was the backbone of the Saiyan army's planetary conquest operations and played a critical role in early Dragon Ball before the Super Saiyan line took center stage.

Great Ape (Legendary Super Saiyan)

A hypothetical fusion of the Great Ape and the Legendary Super Saiyan, this form represents what would happen if a Saiyan like Broly transformed into a Great Ape while channeling the Legendary Super Saiyan's boundless energy. It originated in video games, primarily Budokai Tenkaichi 3, and depicts the most extreme possible combination of Saiyan primal power.

Great Namekian

Great Namekian is the size-increasing transformation available to members of the Namekian race. By channeling their innate ability to manipulate their body structure, Namekians can grow to enormous proportions, gaining tremendous physical strength and reach in the process. The technique has been used by some of the most prominent Namekian characters in the franchise, including King Piccolo, Piccolo, and Lord Slug.

Jiang Shi

Jiang Shi are undead beings drawn from Chinese folklore, appearing as zombies or vampires in Dragon Ball. They are characterized by pale skin, red-cheeked makeup, and Qing Dynasty-era clothing. In Dragon Ball's world, some individuals are transformed into Jiang Shi through dark witchcraft, controlled via paper talismans affixed to their foreheads. The concept bridges real-world Chinese mythology with Dragon Ball's fantastical setting.

Kibito Kai

Kibito Kai is the accidental Potara Fusion between Supreme Kai (Shin) and his attendant Kibito. After Old Kai demonstrated the power of the Potara Earrings by explaining Vegito's creation, Shin and Kibito experimented with the earrings and accidentally fused permanently. The resulting being combined Shin's divine authority with Kibito's supportive abilities, though the fusion was more of a curiosity than a combat powerhouse.

Mecha Frieza

The cybernetically reconstructed version of Frieza, rebuilt by King Cold's scientists after the tyrant was left in pieces following his defeat on Namek. Outfitted with mechanical parts replacing the portions of his body destroyed by Goku and the planet's explosion, Mecha Frieza traveled to Earth seeking revenge, only to be instantly killed by the mysterious Future Trunks.

Meta-Cooler Core

Meta-Cooler Core is the fusion of Cooler's remains with the Big Gete Star, a self-replicating machine intelligence. After Cooler was destroyed by Goku and launched into the sun, a fragment of his body was recovered by the Big Gete Star, which rebuilt him as the central processor of its network. The Core can manufacture endless Meta-Cooler drones, each one powerful enough to challenge Super Saiyan Goku and Vegeta simultaneously.

Monster Form

Monster Form is the specific term for Zarbon's beast-like combat transformation, where his handsome exterior gives way to a hulking, reptilian warrior. The transformation roughly doubles his fighting power, making it a critical tactical advantage during the Namek Saga. Zarbon despised the form because of its ugly appearance, preferring to fight in his elegant base state whenever possible. The Monster Form is a specific instance of the broader Charging Form transformation type.

Mutation

A grotesque transformation triggered by the internal conflict within Fused Zamasu's body during Dragon Ball Super's Future Trunks Saga. When his mortal half began rejecting his immortal half, the resulting instability warped his physical form into something monstrous and unpredictable.

Perfect Cell

Cell's ultimate designed form, achieved after absorbing both Android 17 and Android 18. In this state, Cell became fully humanoid with a sleek, symmetrical appearance and power that surpassed every fighter on Earth. He organized the Cell Games, a martial arts tournament designed to test his perfection against the planet's strongest warriors, driven by the Saiyan desire for battle encoded in his DNA.

Perfected Ultra Instinct (Giant Form)

A colossal energy avatar that manifests from Goku's Perfected Ultra Instinct ki, forming a giant protective and offensive construct capable of grappling with planet-scale opponents.

Pure Majin

The original, uncorrupted form of Majin Buu, representing the creature as it existed before absorbing the Supreme Kais millions of years ago. Known commonly as Kid Buu, the Pure Majin is paradoxically the most dangerous incarnation despite not being the strongest in terms of raw power. What makes this form terrifying is the complete absence of restraint, reason, or mercy.

Red-Eyed Namekian Form

A powered-up state available to certain Namekians, characterized by the user's eyes turning red. This transformation represents an intermediate level of Namekian evolution, falling between the standard warrior-type Namekian and the more dramatic Orange Piccolo transformation.

Semi-Perfect Cell

The intermediate stage Cell reached after absorbing Android 17 on the Tropical Islands. This form granted him a dramatic increase in size and power, transforming his insectoid body into a more humanoid shape with pronounced musculature. Though vastly stronger than before, Semi-Perfect Cell remained inferior to a Super Saiyan Second Grade fighter, which drove him to pursue Android 18 at any cost.

Super Buu Gohan Absorbed

The single most powerful non-fused villain in all of Dragon Ball Z. After absorbing Ultimate Gohan, Super Buu reached a level of strength that no individual fighter could hope to match. Only Vegito, the Potara fusion of Goku and Vegeta, proved capable of standing against this monstrous form. Buu Gohan represented the absolute peak of absorption-based power in the series.

Super Buu Gotenks Absorbed

One of Super Buu's most dangerous configurations, achieved after he absorbed the fused warrior Gotenks along with Piccolo. This form combined Gotenks' raw power and unpredictable techniques with Piccolo's tactical intelligence, creating a version of Buu that was both overwhelmingly strong and strategically cunning. He was powerful enough to dominate even Ultimate Gohan, at least until the fusion inside him expired.

Super Buu Piccolo Absorbed

The reduced form Super Buu was left with after the Gotenks fusion expired inside his body, leaving only Piccolo's absorption active. While Buu retained the Namekian's intelligence and strategic mind, the massive power boost from Gotenks was gone. This left him significantly weaker than his previous configuration and unable to compete with Ultimate Gohan, who dominated this version of Buu in their fight.

Super Giant Form

An extreme size-enhancing transformation that pushes the standard Giant Form concept to its upper limits. The user grows to a truly colossal scale, gaining tremendous physical power and durability at the cost of speed and vulnerability to concentrated attacks from faster opponents.

Super Namekian

A title given to Namekians who have achieved power far beyond the normal limits of their race. Piccolo earned this designation after fusing with Nail on Planet Namek and later with Kami on Earth, while Lord Slug was recognized as a natural Super Namekian due to his extraordinary innate power. The concept parallels the Super Saiyan legend, representing the Namekian equivalent of transcending racial limitations.

Super Perfect Cell

The strongest version of Cell, born from his self-destruction and subsequent regeneration. After nearly dying in his own explosion, the Saiyan cells within his body triggered a Zenkai boost, dramatically increasing his power to Super Saiyan 2 levels. He returned to the battlefield with an electric aura crackling around him, ready to finish what the Cell Games had started.

Super Ribrianne

An enhanced version of Ribrianne's love-powered transformation, achieved during the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super. Representing Universe 2's belief in the cosmic power of love, Super Ribrianne amplifies the already formidable abilities of the Magical Girl-inspired warrior to greater heights.

Super Sai-Ant

A humorous transformation that applies the Super Saiyan concept to an ant-like character. Super Sai-Ant is a playful parody that demonstrates Dragon Ball's willingness to have fun with its own iconic transformation mythology, giving an insectoid character the golden glow and power boost of Saiyan legend.

Super Shadow Dragon

The powered-up state available to each of the seven Shadow Dragons in Dragon Ball GT. Every Shadow Dragon possesses the potential to achieve a Super form through methods unique to their individual abilities. The most famous example is Syn Shenron's transformation into Omega Shenron through the absorption of all seven cracked Dragon Balls, making him the final and most powerful villain of Dragon Ball GT.

Tuffleization

The parasitic possession technique used by Tuffle Machine Mutants, most notably Baby in Dragon Ball GT. Tuffleization allows the user to infiltrate and take complete control of a host body, transforming the victim into a Tuffle hybrid and gaining access to all of the host's combat abilities. This technique represents the Tuffle race's method of reclaiming power after their extinction at the hands of the Saiyans.

Ultimate Form (Universe Seed)

The Ultimate Form is a state bestowed by the Universe Seed upon those who merge with its power. Featured in the Super Dragon Ball Heroes series, it was used by both Kamioren (in an incomplete version) and Hearts (who achieved the full transformation and dubbed himself the Ultimate Godslayer).
