Danger Doping is a power-up achieved by consuming a special performance-enhancing fruit. It was used by Basil of the Trio De Dangers from Universe 9 during the preliminary matches before the Tournament of Power. The transformation dramatically boosted Basil's physical capabilities but was viewed by other universes as an underhanded tactic.
During the exhibition matches organized by the Grand Priest before the Tournament of Power, Basil of Universe 9 fought against Good Buu representing Universe 7. When Basil found himself outmatched by Buu's regeneration and raw power, Roh, the Supreme Kai of Universe 9, threw him a special fruit. Upon eating it, Basil underwent a visible transformation: his muscles expanded, his body grew larger, and his aura changed to an aggressive red and black pattern. His behavior became more feral and unrestrained as well.
The power-up allowed Basil to fight far more effectively against Good Buu, landing hits that his base form could not have delivered. However, the enhancement was immediately controversial. Beerus and other observers noted that using an external substance to artificially boost a fighter's power was unsportsmanlike. Despite the boost, Basil was still unable to defeat Buu, whose regenerative abilities and enormous power reserves proved too much. The incident highlighted the desperation of Universe 9, whose fighters were among the weakest competitors in the upcoming tournament and needed every possible advantage to survive.
