Function and History

The Universe Seed is a small but extraordinarily potent artifact that feeds on combat energy. As battles rage near it, the seed absorbs the released energy and gradually charges toward completion. When fully grown, it transforms into the Universe Tree, a cosmic structure with enough power to generate an entire new universe.

Even before reaching full maturity, the seed can grant its user a devastating power boost called an "Ultimate Form." The artificial warrior Kamioren used the partially charged seed to become "Ultimate Kamioren," gaining tremendous strength. After Kamioren's defeat by Goku, the energy released completed the seed, allowing Hearts to absorb it and achieve his "Ultimate Godslayer" form, a state powerful enough to challenge the gods themselves.

The Universe Seed was originally intended for use by Fu, who planned to collect energy from battles on the Prison Planet to create a new universe of his own design. After Hearts' defeat, Fu recovered the remnants of the seed and used them to grow the Universe Tree, which threatened to consume the existing universe. The Super Dragon Balls were ultimately required to destroy the Universe Tree and undo the damage it caused.
