A fully transformed Goku rips free of the Thunder Shock Surprise and starts tearing the tournament stadium apart stone by stone. Jackie Chun responds by pulling off his shirt, powering up to his absolute limit, and charging a Kamehameha unlike any the world has ever seen before.
Goku's transformation shatters the electric grip of the Thunder Shock Surprise outright. Jackie Chun recoils in disbelief, insisting no one should be able to break free of that technique once it locks on. The hulking ape version of Goku does not hear him. He begins stomping through the stadium roof and crushing sections of the surrounding buildings as spectators flee in every direction. Only the announcer stays put in the panic, stubbornly explaining that a referee cannot leave his post during an official match.
Yamcha and Krillin sprint across to Bulma, Puar, and Oolong with an idea. Yamcha tells Puar to shapeshift into a pair of scissors, promising he will pin the ape's tail long enough for the cut to happen. If they can sever the tail they believe the transformation will collapse and restore Goku to normal.
Jackie Chun sees that he has no time to wait on a plan involving scissors. He tears off his shirt and braces, letting his body swell as he unlocks his full strength. Planting himself in the wreckage, he starts building the largest Kamehameha of his life. Yamcha races toward him shouting that this blast will kill Goku, begging him to stop. Jackie ignores the plea and unleashes the wave. A blinding column of light floods the entire arena and everything inside goes white.
When the glare finally fades, nothing visible has changed except for one glaring absence: the Great Ape is gone. Jackie stands panting in the crater, allowing his muscles to relax back to their normal size. Yamcha trudges back to the others and tells them flatly that Goku did not survive the attack.
