Devil on the Third Floor

Manga ChapterCh. 59

Major Metallitron turns out to be far more than a lumbering oaf. Mouth-fired missiles, launching fists, and punches strong enough to bounce Goku across the walls push the young fighter into summoning his most potent attack yet for this unexpected nightmare.

A Giant With Tricks

The fight on the third floor escalates as Metallitron attempts to pulp the boy beneath one massive boot. Goku slides out of the way, only to eat a ferocious punch that sends him ricocheting off the floor, into the wall, and back onto the tiles, where he lies motionless for a dangerous second. Metallitron raises his foot to finish the job, but Goku springs back to life and headbutts him as hard as he can. The blow barely registers on the armored hulk and leaves Goku clutching his aching skull. The major answers by opening his jaws and firing a guided missile straight out of his mouth, a weapon Goku never saw coming.

The Kamehameha Comes Out

Realizing that fists and feet alone are not going to finish this monster, Goku plants himself in a stance and begins gathering energy. The familiar cup of his hands fills with a steadily growing blue orb, and he releases a full Kamehameha directly into his enemy. The wave tears Metallitron's head clean off his shoulders and shreds most of his uniform, but the body keeps lumbering forward as if it has no idea that it should be dead. The decapitated soldier launches a fist straight off his arm at the boy, a rocket-propelled punch that forces Goku to twist aside. Metallitron then lines up a second fist, intent on hammering the intruder through the floor.

Low Battery

General White barks at his champion through the intercom, screaming for him to crush the child already. Metallitron obeys without question, winding up for the decisive swing, and then freezes in place. His internal battery has finally given out at the worst possible moment for the Red Ribbon Army, and the terrifying warrior goes utterly still, a dead hunk of metal standing in the middle of his own battlefield. Goku stares at the silent giant for a moment, shrugs off the close call, and climbs the staircase toward the fourth floor, where Ninja Murasaki is already waiting for his turn to face the little intruder.
