The Horrible...Jiggler!

Manga ChapterCh. 64

Into the Sealed Chamber

Goku lands on his feet inside the secret fifth-floor room, just in time for a panicked Hatchan to crash down on top of him. General White peers through the open trap door and gloats, offering to let them out in exchange for the Dragon Ball and the radar. Goku refuses without hesitation, so White slams the door and promises to enjoy watching them die on his monitor. Down in the chamber, Hatchan nervously asks if Goku is hunting the Dragon Balls for sinister reasons. Goku explains that the Four-Star Ball was his grandpa's keepsake, and Hatchan relaxes.

Enter Buyon

A side wall grinds open and a bloated, drooling creature oozes into view. White introduces the monster as Buyon and promises it will devour them both. Goku sizes up the blubbery pink giant and figures one clean hit should do it. A sweeping tail slams toward him first, but he vaults over it, kicks off the wall, and drives a fist into Buyon's face. His knuckles sink into the rubbery flesh, stick for a moment, and then pop free as he bounces to the floor. A follow-up kick produces the same result, launching Goku face-first into the stone wall.

Shocks, Tongues, and a Failed Kamehameha

Buyon retaliates by firing lightning from the antennae on his head, shocking Goku across the room. The tongue comes next, a long pink coil that wraps around him and reels him in toward Buyon's gaping mouth. Goku manages to pry the jaws apart and leap free, much to Hatchan's relief, but he is no closer to figuring out how to hurt the thing. As a last resort he plants his feet and unleashes a full Kamehameha. The turquoise beam splashes into Buyon's gut and bounces harmlessly away, leaving Goku truly stuck for the first time in ages.
