With a full stomach and a heart full of vengeance for Krillin, Goku finally unleashes his real power on Tambourine. The demon who mocked him before is about to learn that hunger was the only thing holding the monkey-tailed warrior back. This rematch is nothing like their first encounter.
Stunned that Goku is still drawing breath, Tambourine sneers about Cymbal, the stolen Dragon Ball, and the boy's apparent death wish. Yajirobe, meanwhile, thinks only of his stomach and begs Goku to leave the carcass behind so he can eat it. Goku calmly notes that things are different this time because his belly is finally full, and the thought of Krillin's lifeless body sharpens his resolve into something cold and focused.
Goku surges forward and wraps Tambourine in a flurry of afterimages, leaving the demon swinging at phantoms. An elbow to the jaw opens the assault, followed by a rapid series of strikes that knocks Tambourine sprawling. Goku leaps up, pushes off a jutting rock, and drives his knee straight into the demon's face, burying him in the dirt. For a brief moment Goku flashes a peace sign over the downed fighter, confident the fight is already won.
Tambourine rises enraged, unable to accept that a human child has outclassed a member of the Demon Clan, and fires a mouth energy wave at point blank range. Goku vanishes before the blast lands and reappears behind the panicked demon, announcing that this strike is for Krillin and the Flying Nimbus. Tambourine tries to flee through the air, but Goku grips the Power Pole and commands it to extend, rocketing him skyward. At the peak of his climb he kicks free and unleashes a Kamehameha that obliterates Tambourine mid flight. High above on Pilaf's airship, King Piccolo senses the death of yet another of his sons and decides the time has come to deal with this pest himself. Back on the ground, a fuming Yajirobe scolds Goku for not saving a single scrap of the monster for him to cook.
