The Demon King of Old... Restored!

Manga ChapterCh. 147

With all seven Dragon Balls gathered, King Piccolo summons Shenron and demands the one thing he craves most: the restoration of his youth. A Wish Claimed by Force

King Piccolo stands triumphant aboard Pilaf's airship with all seven Dragon Balls finally in his possession. He announces his intention to wish for youth, and the Pilaf Gang along with Piano erupt in celebration. Tien, battered but still conscious on the ground below, overhears the demon's plan and realizes he has only seconds to act. He reaches out telepathically to Chiaotzu, laying out a desperate strategy: the moment Piccolo opens his mouth, Chiaotzu must shout their own wish first.

Piccolo summons the Eternal Dragon, and the sky above darkens to an ominous black. Shenron spirals into being, his colossal body stretching across the heavens. Even the Demon King himself pauses briefly in awe of the dragon's enormity. As Piccolo begins to speak, Chiaotzu springs from his hiding spot and attempts to override the wish. He barely gets a few words out before Piccolo notices the interruption and fires a single devastating blast that kills the small warrior instantly. With no one left to contest him, Piccolo states his wish clearly and without hesitation.

Youth Reclaimed

Shenron declares the wish a simple matter. Energy engulfs the Demon King's withered frame, and his body rapidly transforms. Wrinkled skin tightens, hunched posture straightens, and raw power floods through him as decades of decay reverse themselves in an instant. Piccolo flexes his restored muscles and exults in the overwhelming strength now coursing through every fiber of his being. Piano and the Pilaf Gang stare in amazement at the towering figure their master has become.

A Distant Warning

Far away, Goku and Yajirobe are still traveling toward Korin Tower when the sky suddenly goes dark around them. Goku recognizes the telltale sign: someone has summoned the Eternal Dragon. The realization fills him with urgency, though he does not yet know what wish was made. Just then, Yajirobe spots the base of Korin Tower looming in the distance ahead, and the two press onward with renewed determination.
