King Piccolo storms King Castle in Central City, cutting through waves of guards with terrifying ease as he seeks to claim the throne. Meanwhile, Goku clings to Yajirobe's back as the swordsman grudgingly scales Korin Tower, complaining every step of the way while Goku dozes off above the clouds.
Bora hurls Goku and Yajirobe skyward, giving them a running start on the long climb up Korin Tower. Yajirobe grabs hold of the pillar and is immediately dismayed to see no end in sight above. While the pair ascends, King Piccolo and Piano arrive at King Castle in Central City. The two guards posted at the main gate barely have time to react before Piccolo eliminates them, using Eye Lasers to dispatch the second. He smashes through the reinforced metal gate with a single blow and advances into the compound, tearing through every soldier who stands in his path.
High on the tower, Yajirobe grumbles that the top still is not visible, though he admits that looking down has become too frightening to consider retreating. Below, Piccolo presses deeper into the castle's central building, scattering another squad of guards without breaking stride. He soon encounters a towering soldier known as the Strong King's Guard, a warrior clearly more formidable than the rest. Piccolo mockingly offers the guard a place at his side, which only enrages the man. The guard throws a powerful punch, but Piccolo blocks it effortlessly and strikes him across the face. He demands to know King Furry's location. When the guard refuses, Piccolo drives a fist clean through his chest, killing him where he stands.
A nearby guard, terrified after witnessing his comrade's execution, tries to flee. Piccolo cuts off his escape route in an instant and repeats his question. The trembling guard reveals that King Furry is in the western tower. Piano spots a hovercar departing from that direction, and Piccolo launches himself into the air, landing on top of the vehicle. King Furry, the Captain of the Guard, and the pilot are stunned by the sudden appearance of the Demon King on their craft. Back on Korin Tower, Yajirobe finally spots the summit, only to discover that Goku has fallen sound asleep on his back.
