King Piccolo seizes control of Earth's government by threatening King Furry with total annihilation, leveling a section of Central City to prove his sincerity. At Korin Tower, Goku heals with a Senzu Bean and begs for more training, but Korin reveals he has nothing left to teach. Just as hope seems lost, the old cat mentions one last option: the Ultra Divine Water.
King Piccolo perches atop King Furry's hovercar and calmly announces that he is the new ruler of the world. The Captain of the Guard draws his pistol and fires several rounds, but the bullets bounce harmlessly off Piccolo's restored body. Piccolo grabs the Captain by the head, and when King Furry pleads for mercy, the Demon King complies in the cruelest way possible: he drops the Captain over the edge of the moving vehicle to his death. Piccolo then orders Furry to broadcast a global announcement declaring him the new king. Furry, despite his fear, refuses.
Piccolo responds by pointing one hand toward Central City below. A single blast of energy erupts from his palm, reducing an entire district to rubble in seconds. The devastation is enormous, and the shockwave ripples outward through the surrounding buildings. King Furry, now witnessing the cost of defiance firsthand, has no choice but to submit when Piccolo promises even greater destruction if his demand is not met.
At the top of Korin Tower, Goku and Yajirobe finally arrive. Korin is impressed that Yajirobe managed to haul Goku all the way up and offers a Senzu Bean to heal Goku's wounds. Yajirobe, starving from the climb, snatches a fistful of the beans and swallows them all at once. His stomach swells to a comical size, and he collapses in a groaning heap. Goku, now fully healed, tells Korin about his encounters with Piccolo and asks to be trained again.
Korin shakes his head. He explains that Goku has already surpassed him in strength, and there is simply nothing more he can teach the boy. Worse, Korin says plainly that defeating King Piccolo is impossible at Goku's current level. Goku refuses to accept this and angrily declares that he will leave the tower immediately to fight Piccolo on his own. Just as Goku reaches the edge to depart, Korin calls out to him and asks whether he would be willing to drink the Ultra Divine Water.
