Grim News Reaches Kame House

Flying away from the battlefield, Tien contacts Kame House by radio and delivers the devastating report to Yamcha. The mission to gather the Dragon Balls has failed. Master Roshi and Chiaotzu are dead, and King Piccolo used Shenron to restore his youth before destroying the dragon. Yamcha argues that fighting Piccolo now is pointless, but Tien reveals that he has mastered the Evil Containment Wave and intends to seal the Demon King. Before the debate can continue, Oolong calls everyone to the television. An emergency broadcast has begun.

King Furry appears on screen and announces that his throne has been taken. He barely finishes his plea for help before Piccolo steps into the frame, grabs the king by the throat, and shoves him aside. Piccolo addresses the world, declaring that peace and justice are the two words he despises most. He vows to dismantle every law enforcement agency and let evil reign unchecked. Tien, watching from his cockpit, pinpoints Piccolo's location at King Castle.

Power Reborn on Korin Tower

High above, Goku stands at the summit of Korin Tower, fully recovered from the Ultra Divine Water's ordeal. He tells Korin that his body feels calm yet brimming with new strength. Korin notes the change with surprise, while Yajirobe shrugs and says Goku looks no different. Goku senses King Piccolo's energy radiating from a specific direction and announces he is heading there immediately.

A Cloud of His Own

Korin summons the Enormous Nimbus, the towering golden cloud from which all Flying Nimbus clouds originate. He instructs Goku to break off a piece for himself. Goku leaps from the tower, tears away a chunk of the great cloud, and mounts his new ride. He offers Yajirobe a lift, but the swordsman declines in visible panic. Goku thanks Korin and rockets off toward King Castle. Yajirobe asks for his own Nimbus, but Korin remarks that he likely could not ride one. As Goku vanishes into the sky, Piccolo warns the people of Earth that far worse horrors are on the way.
