Tien Stands Alone

King Piccolo orders Drum to dispose of Tien quickly. Tien, fully aware he is likely walking to his death, declares he will take both Drum and Piccolo down with him. He charges and launches a barrage of attacks. Drum dodges the initial assault and counters with a punch, which Tien blocks. Tien fires back with a series of kicks, but Drum evades every one and connects with a solid punch to Tien's face. The monster follows up with two kicks and a crushing elbow that sends Tien flying backward. Piccolo watches from the sideline and dismisses Tien as dull entertainment.

Tien recovers in midair and hurls himself straight at Drum, smashing his forehead into the creature's face. The headbutt connects cleanly, but Drum barely reacts, simply remarking that Tien has some decent moves. Tien realizes with horror that if Drum is this strong, Piccolo's own power must be far beyond anything he can handle. Drum tells Tien he is already dead, vanishes, and reappears behind him. A brutal punch to the spine sends Tien crashing to the ground.

The Dead Boy Returns

Piccolo calls Tien persistent and orders Drum to finish him by tearing out his heart. Drum looms over the fallen warrior, ready to comply. Then something strikes Drum with tremendous force and sends him tumbling across the ground. Piccolo whips around in confusion.

A Knee That Says Everything

Goku stands at the battlefield, eyes locked on King Piccolo. Both Piccolo and Tien are stunned, having believed Goku died in his previous encounter with the Demon King. Tien expresses relief, and Goku notes it was Tien's energy he sensed during his approach. Piccolo informs Goku that he has regained his youth and is now far stronger. Tien urges Goku to run, but Drum rises and declares he will not allow escape. Piccolo orders Drum to kill both of them. As Drum lunges, Goku drives his knee into the monster's face with staggering force, leaving both Piccolo and Tien speechless.
