King Piccolo cripples Goku's leg with his Eye Lasers, but Goku improvises by using his Power Pole as a launching pad to deliver a crushing knee to the Demon King's face. As Bulma and Yamcha fly toward the battlefield, Piccolo escalates the conflict by destroying the Power Pole and unleashing his Explosive Demon Wave, leveling an entire section of Central City.
The brutal exchange between Goku and King Piccolo continues at the ruins of King Castle. King Furry observes the battle alongside one of his guards, astonished that anyone could stand against the Demon King so effectively. The two fighters hammer each other relentlessly, trading powerful blows back and forth.
Piccolo eventually seizes an opening and fires his Eye Lasers, striking one of Goku's legs and severely injuring it. With his mobility compromised, Goku thinks quickly and devises a plan. He extends his Power Pole, using it as a lever to catapult himself through the air at tremendous speed. The improvised maneuver catches Piccolo off guard, and Goku drives his knee into the Demon King's face with devastating force.
Meanwhile, Bulma and Yamcha are airborne in a plane, rushing toward King Castle to support Tien Shinhan. They are unaware that Goku has already arrived and joined the fight. A news broadcast crackles over the radio, reporting that the battle at the castle is still raging. Bulma and Yamcha are relieved to hear that Tien is still fighting and excited to learn that a second warrior is engaging Piccolo. They immediately guess that the mysterious second fighter must be Goku.
Back at King Castle, Piccolo powers up once again, pushing past his previous limits. He targets Goku's Power Pole and blasts it away, stripping the young warrior of his trusted weapon. With Goku now injured and disarmed, Piccolo unleashes his most devastating technique: the Explosive Demon Wave. The colossal energy attack detonates across the battlefield, obliterating the surrounding area and reducing a large portion of Central City to rubble and scorched earth. The sheer scale of the destruction dwarfs anything seen in the battle so far.
