Tenshinhan completely dominates Tao Pai-pai, dodging every attack and pleading with his former superior to surrender. Tao resorts to hidden weapons, pulling a blade from his mechanical arm and slashing Tenshinhan across the chest. Disqualified for using weapons, Tao abandons the rules and fires a Super Dodon Wave, but Tenshinhan nullifies it with a kiai and finishes the fight with one punch.
Tao Pai-pai is furious at Tenshinhan for appearing behind him and declaring that he has grown too strong. He charges in, but Tenshinhan dodges every strike with fluid ease, sidestepping his punches, weaving past his kicks, and finally catching his fist mid-swing. Tenshinhan tells Tao that he does not want to humiliate him like this, since Tao and Master Shen were the ones who first taught him martial arts. He asks Tao once more to please walk away.
Instead of accepting the offer, Tao jerks his arm back, deliberately leaving his mechanical fist behind in Tenshinhan's grip. A hidden blade snaps out from the socket where his hand was, and Tao slashes Tenshinhan across the chest, drawing blood. The announcer immediately calls foul, declaring Tenshinhan the winner by disqualification since weapons are strictly prohibited. Tao does not care about the ruling; he simply wants Tenshinhan dead. Master Shen cheers him on, urging him to kill everyone associated with the Turtle School.
Tenshinhan tears away the remains of his shirt and prepares to fight seriously. Krillin and Yamcha offer to step in, but Tenshinhan insists on handling this alone. Tao removes his other hand, revealing a built-in cannon capable of firing a Super Dodon Wave. He targets Tenshinhan with his cyborg radar vision and tells him to prepare for death.
Tao fires the devastating blast, but Tenshinhan stands his ground and lets out a scream, releasing a powerful kiai that completely nullifies the attack. Tao is dumbfounded that a mere battle shout could cancel out the Super Dodon Wave. Tenshinhan rushes forward and drives a single punch into Tao's gut, knocking the cyborg unconscious. He carries Tao's limp body over to Master Shen, noting that Tao will not wake up for days, and asks them to leave peacefully. Shen flies off with Tao draped over his shoulders. With the first match concluded, the second fight is called, and Goku steps into the ring wondering why the mysterious young woman is so angry at him.
