Nappa begins his assault on the Z Fighters with horrifying efficiency. He targets Tien first, ripping his arm clean off in a single blow. Krillin's counterattack is brushed aside, and Chiaotzu makes a desperate, selfless decision. Latching onto Nappa's back, he channels every ounce of his energy into a final self-destructing explosion, sacrificing himself to protect his friends.
With his power-up complete, Nappa scans the battlefield and decides on his first target. In a burst of terrifying speed, he charges straight at Tien. Tien manages to block the initial strike, but Nappa follows up with his Arm Break technique, a devastating punch that tears Tien's left arm completely off. As Nappa rears back to deliver a killing blow, Tien leaps into the air to escape. He begins charging his Tri-Beam from above, but Nappa rockets upward and kicks him back to the ground before he can fire.
Driven by fury at watching Tien get brutalized, Krillin charges at Nappa. The Saiyan barely acknowledges the attack, unleashing his Blazing Storm technique to blast Krillin away with a massive explosion. When the smoke clears, the Z Fighters scan the area frantically, afraid that Chiaotzu was caught in the blast as well. He is nowhere to be seen.
The fighters are relieved momentarily when they spot Chiaotzu, but their relief turns to dread. Chiaotzu has attached himself to Nappa's back. The Saiyan thrashes violently, trying to shake him loose, but Chiaotzu holds on with everything he has. Using telepathy, Chiaotzu sends a final farewell to Tien, his closest friend, telling him goodbye. Before anyone can intervene, Chiaotzu pours every last bit of his life energy into a single explosive burst, detonating himself against Nappa's body.
When the light fades and the dust settles, Nappa stands completely unharmed. The explosion did not even leave a mark. Chiaotzu's death, his ultimate sacrifice, was entirely in vain. The remaining Z Fighters stare in horror, understanding just how outclassed they truly are.
