Frieza descends on a Namekian village to seize its Dragon Ball, but Elder Moori refuses to cooperate. Revealing he has already claimed four Dragon Balls through intimidation and murder, Frieza orders Zarbon to slaughter the adult villagers. When even this fails to break Moori, Frieza threatens the children, pushing Gohan toward fury as he watches from a clifftop.
Krillin and Gohan observe a Namekian village from a high cliff as Frieza confronts Elder Moori below. Moori attempts to stall by speaking in the Namekian language, but Frieza is already aware that Namekians can communicate in the common tongue. When Moori denies any knowledge of the village's Dragon Ball, Frieza calmly explains what he has learned from a previous elder: every village possesses one Dragon Ball, and only a person approved by all seven village elders may claim them. That elder refused to hand over his Dragon Ball, so Frieza killed him and located it on his own. He adds that three additional villages surrendered their Dragon Balls willingly, though his tone makes it clear cooperation was never optional.
Vegeta, monitoring events through his scouter from a distance, listens as the confrontation escalates. Moori and the other Namekians accuse Frieza of murdering those villagers as well, and Frieza does not deny it. Instead, he demonstrates exactly how he secured their obedience by ordering Zarbon to kill every adult villager on the spot, sparing only Moori and the children. Zarbon carries out the command without hesitation. The remaining Namekians collapse around Moori, and yet the elder still refuses to reveal his Dragon Ball.
Frieza shifts his attention to the surviving children, Dende and Cargo, and announces that they will be next unless Moori cooperates. The elder is visibly horrified that anyone would target children, but before the standoff can continue, three young Namekian warriors fly into the village. Meanwhile, Gohan's anger builds to a boiling point on the cliff above. Across the planet, Goku continues his gravity training aboard the Capsule Corporation spaceship, unaware of the horrors unfolding below.
