Frieza's Suspicion

One of Frieza's scouts discovers that a village they had not yet visited has already been wiped out. Aboard his ship, Frieza receives Zarbon's report: no new village found, but Vegeta has been defeated. When Frieza demands proof, Zarbon admits he left Vegeta underwater without confirming the kill. The scout then arrives with news of the destroyed village, which Zarbon attributes to Vegeta. Since Vegeta had no Dragon Ball during their fight, Frieza concludes he must have hidden it somewhere and orders Zarbon to bring Vegeta back alive for interrogation.

The Ginyu Squad Summoned

Frieza instructs his soldier Appule to contact Planet Frieza and dispatch the Ginyu Special Squad to Namek within five days. Zarbon questions why such extreme measures are needed. Frieza explains a growing premonition about a powerful Saiyan who may not even be Vegeta. The tyrant muses that while no Saiyan can match him, their limitless fighting potential is troubling. If one were to become a Super Saiyan, it could prove genuinely dangerous.

Recovery and Captivity

Vegeta lies broken on the Namekian ground, but Zarbon locates him before he can crawl to safety. Deciding the Saiyan needs medical treatment before questioning, Zarbon grabs him by the wrist and flies him back to Frieza's ship. The narration notes that because Namek has three suns, night never falls, and roughly a full day passes as Goku continues his relentless gravity training aboard his spacecraft.

Arrival at the Elder's Home

Krillin and Dende wake from a rest stop and resume their flight. Following Dende's directions, Krillin spots a house perched atop a towering rock formation. A young Namekian warrior named Nail steps out to greet them, confirming that the Grand Elder already knows the situation. Nail explains that the Elder's death draws near, and it is his sole duty to protect him in these final days. Inside, Krillin meets the Grand Elder: an enormous, aged Namekian seated in a great chair, who thanks him warmly for saving Dende.
