Race to Guru's House

Vegeta detects both Krillin and Gohan's energy but notices they are not heading toward his Dragon Balls. Curious, he decides to pursue them, carrying one of his own balls along in case Bulma uses the Dragon Radar to find his stash. Krillin and Gohan spot Guru's house in the distance, but they also sense Vegeta closing in. Krillin tells Gohan to fly ahead while he stays behind to stall.

Vegeta arrives and demands Krillin hand over his Dragon Ball. Krillin plays dumb, but Vegeta is not fooled. He detects the Namekians inside Guru's house and guesses the ball is there. Krillin denies it, but Vegeta simply flies past him.

Gohan's Power Unleashed

Inside, Grand Elder Guru has already sensed the extraordinary potential buried within Gohan and realizes the boy is not a normal human. Gohan pleads with him to hurry. Vegeta arrives at the door, but Nail, Guru's bodyguard, stands firm and refuses to let him enter. The process completes just in time. Gohan's hidden power surges outward, and the magnitude of the energy shift is so dramatic that Vegeta believes Goku must be inside. He is stunned when Gohan walks out instead.

A Desperate Alliance

Guru instructs the young Namekian Dende to warn everyone that a massive power is approaching the planet. Dende relays the message, and soon all the fighters on Namek sense an enormous collective ki bearing down on them. Vegeta recognizes five separate signatures, which can only mean one thing: the Ginyu Force is almost there.

Vegeta shifts tactics. He offers to leave the group in peace if they surrender the Dragon Balls, explaining that he needs immortality to stand any chance against the Ginyu Force. Krillin suggests that Gohan should be the one made immortal, but Vegeta dismisses this, arguing that Gohan lacks the battle experience to handle them. Nail then reveals a critical detail: the Namekian Dragon Balls grant three wishes, not one. This changes everything. Krillin agrees to bring Vegeta to the remaining ball, and the three fighters take off together. Guru tells Nail to go assist them, adding that he will hold on a little longer. In space, the Ginyu Force's attack pods hurtle ever closer.
