The Ginyu Force finally touches down on Namek, and Frieza wastes no time deploying them to recover the Dragon Balls and capture Vegeta alive. In a frantic race against the clock, Vegeta, Krillin, and Gohan scramble to collect the remaining balls before the elite squad can reach them, but the Ginyu Force arrives at the Dragon Ball site a split second ahead of them.
Aboard his spaceship, Frieza waits eagerly as his most powerful special forces unit approaches the planet. Meanwhile, Vegeta, Krillin, and Gohan rush back to the chasm where Bulma has been hiding. They grab the Dragon Ball stored there and immediately take off again. Bulma watches them leave in total confusion, unable to understand why Krillin and Gohan are suddenly cooperating with the same Saiyan who terrorized them.
At Frieza's spaceship, the five attack pods slam into the ground. The members of the Ginyu Force disembark and introduce themselves to Frieza with an elaborate series of choreographed poses. Frieza is visibly uncomfortable with the theatrical display but quickly shifts to business. He orders the squad to retrieve the Dragon Balls from Vegeta and to bring the Saiyan prince back alive, while killing anyone else who stands in their way.
Captain Ginyu reports that their scouters have already pinpointed Vegeta's location. Jeice presents Frieza with a case of replacement scouters that he had requested. With their orders confirmed, the five members of the Ginyu Force blast off toward Vegeta's position. Vegeta senses them immediately and notes their terrifying speed.
In space, Goku is jolted awake by his ship's onboard computer announcing that only twenty minutes remain until touchdown on Namek. He gets dressed and mentally prepares for battle, noting with some confusion that he feels no fear whatsoever. Back on Namek, Vegeta, Gohan, and Krillin push toward the location of the remaining Dragon Balls as fast as they can. They nearly make it in time, but the Ginyu Force arrives at the spot a split second before them. Vegeta, Krillin, and Gohan can only stare in dismay as the elite warriors stand between them and the Dragon Balls.
