A Desperate Rescue

With Vegeta beaten nearly senseless, Recoome prepares to finish him off with a Recoome Eraser Gun. Krillin shouts to Gohan that they must act immediately, since Vegeta lacks the strength to dodge. The pair spring into action: Gohan swoops in and shoves Vegeta clear of the blast's path while Krillin delivers a surprise kick to the back of Recoome's head. Once the smoke clears, Vegeta angrily tells Gohan to stay out of his way, insisting he never asked for help and that Gohan should have attacked Recoome instead. He berates Gohan's sentimentality with open contempt.

Recoome Retaliates

Recoome recovers quickly, though he reveals that Krillin's kick knocked out several of his teeth. Furious about his ruined smile, he demands that Burter and Jeice let him deal with all three opponents. The pair reluctantly agree, on the condition that Recoome buy them chocolate parfaits later. Recoome sends Krillin flying with a single kick, and the defeated warrior mutters that it is all over. Elsewhere, Nail decides to return to Grand Elder Guru rather than assist Krillin and Gohan as Guru had instructed.

Frieza Claims His Prize

Gohan charges at Recoome with a Menacing Flare, but Recoome simply blows the blast back at him. Gohan dodges the reflected attack only for Recoome to appear beside him and land a devastating hit. The scene shifts to Frieza's spaceship, where Captain Ginyu presents all seven Dragon Balls to his master. Frieza is ecstatic, declaring that eternal life is finally within his grasp. Ginyu offers to perform the Dance of Joy in celebration, but Frieza declines. As Frieza prepares to use the Dragon Balls, a battered and broken Gohan cries out for his father.
