Son Goku Has Landed!

Arrival and Reunion

The Capsule Corporation spaceship touches down on Namek, and the battle between Recoome and Gohan pauses as everyone looks toward the vessel. Recoome wonders aloud what kind of ship it is, while Krillin immediately recognizes it and declares that Goku has finally come. The spaceship door opens, and Goku steps out. He instantly senses the ki signatures of Krillin, Gohan, and the Ginyu Force members, realizing that his friends are badly injured. Without wasting a moment, he takes flight toward their location.

Senzu Beans and a Bold Declaration

Goku arrives on the scene, stunning the Ginyu Force members with his sudden appearance. He kneels beside Gohan and gives him a Senzu Bean while Recoome taunts him from the sidelines. Gohan's rapid recovery shocks Burter, Jeice, and Recoome, none of whom have ever seen anything like it. Gohan tries to warn Goku about the overwhelming strength of their opponents, but Goku ignores the warning and moves to give Krillin a Senzu Bean as well.

Reading the Situation

Krillin begins explaining what has happened on Namek, but Goku places a hand on his head and reads his mind, absorbing the entire story in an instant. Krillin asks where Goku obtained such incredible power, and Goku replies that he simply felt it would work. He then surprises everyone by giving the last remaining Senzu Bean to Vegeta, who is visibly puzzled by the gesture. Goku announces that he intends to fight the Ginyu Force by himself.

The Calm Before the Storm

Krillin and Gohan protest, but Goku walks out to face Recoome without hesitation. Recoome asks what Goku's power level is, and Burter checks his scouter, reporting a reading of merely 5,000. Recoome scoffs, calling Goku just another disappointment. Vegeta, however, watches the exchange with a mixture of confusion and growing suspicion. Goku's complete lack of fear in the face of such danger unsettles him, and a sudden realization begins to form about what Goku may have become.
