Trapped in Ginyu's wounded body, Goku struggles to keep up as Ginyu and Jeice fly toward Frieza's ship. Meanwhile, Krillin and Gohan retrieve the Dragon Radar, dig up all seven Dragon Balls, and attempt to summon the dragon, but nothing happens. The chapter ends with Ginyu and Jeice arriving to confront the stunned group.
Still reeling from the body swap, Goku finds himself staring at his own face. Captain Ginyu gleefully confirms that their bodies have been exchanged. Jeice hands Ginyu the scouter, and the pair take off together. Goku understands now why Ginyu wounded himself before the switch: the injuries were meant to cripple whoever ended up in his old body. Alarmed at what will happen when Ginyu reaches Krillin and Gohan, Goku tries to pursue them, but the damage to his borrowed form makes flying difficult. He even finds himself wondering what Chi-Chi would say if he somehow returned to Earth looking like Ginyu.
Krillin and Gohan arrive at Bulma's hiding spot to collect the Dragon Radar. Bulma is furious that they left her alone and have apparently accomplished nothing. The two grab the radar and prepare to leave again, which irritates her further, though her mood brightens when Gohan mentions that Goku has arrived on the planet. After they depart, she privately wonders whether she blew her chance with Goku.
At Frieza's spaceship, Vegeta discovers that Frieza has left and the Dragon Balls are hidden nearby. Expecting the others to return soon, he takes the opportunity to change into a fresh set of Battle Armor.
When Krillin and Gohan reach Frieza's ship in search of the Dragon Balls, Vegeta watches from the shadows as they dig up all seven orbs. Krillin attempts to summon the dragon, but nothing happens. The group is confused. Then Krillin senses two large energy signatures approaching and assumes they belong to Ginyu and Jeice. Vegeta grows irritated. All three are caught off guard, however, when the figures who land before them turn out to be Goku, in Ginyu's battered body, and Jeice.
