Freeza vs. Gohan, Part 2

Manga ChapterCh. 297

Second Form Frieza reveals the full extent of his dominance. Vegeta's Galick Gun barely scratches him, and Gohan's attacks miss entirely. Through a relentless sequence of strikes, tail whips, and elbows, Frieza batters the young Saiyan into the ground repeatedly. By the chapter's end, Frieza plants his foot on Gohan's head, ready to crush him.

Frieza's Power Revealed

Frieza rises back into the air, shrugging off the damage from Gohan's earlier assault. Gohan senses the tyrant's ki climbing even higher, and Vegeta realizes with growing dread that Frieza can adjust his power level at will. Below, Dende pulls Krillin from the water while Frieza ascends until he hovers directly in front of Gohan.

Vegeta yells for Gohan to run, but Frieza is already moving. He slams his palm across Gohan's face, sending the young fighter crashing into the ground. Frieza descends after him, grinning, and announces that the real fun is only beginning.

Vegeta's Desperate Gambit

Seeing an opening while Frieza's attention is on Gohan, Vegeta fires a full-power Galick Gun. The blast connects squarely, but when the smoke clears, Frieza floats there without a scratch. He tells Vegeta not to worry; they will have plenty of time to play later. The remark drains the last of Vegeta's confidence. He mutters that they have all met their end.

Frieza lands near Gohan, who struggles to his feet. The young Saiyan throws a flurry of punches and kicks, but every blow misses its mark. Frieza grabs Gohan by the hair, drives a crushing knee into his chest, and drops him to the ground.

Total Domination

Gohan writhes in pain as Frieza delivers a brutal kick to his back. The tyrant raises his foot to stomp on the boy, but Gohan summons enough strength to launch himself into the air. His escape is short-lived. Frieza appears behind him in an instant and hammers him back down with a tail strike. Gohan pulls himself up once more, unable to track where Frieza has gone. Frieza materializes behind him again, this time dropping him with an elbow to the spine. He places his foot on Gohan's head and presses down, ready to finish him off. Vegeta watches in mounting despair as Gohan screams in agony beneath the tyrant's heel.
