On Earth, Grand Elder Guru passes leadership to Moori and dies peacefully as the Namekian Dragon Balls materialize on their new world. Meanwhile on Namek, Frieza betrays Goku's mercy by attacking with his remaining energy. Goku retaliates with an Angry Kamehameha that overwhelms the tyrant, then races to find an escape before the planet detonates.
On Earth, the transported Namekians take stock of their surroundings. Guru explains how Porunga's wish brought them all back to life. One Namekian notices that an entire village is absent. Vegeta bluntly admits that he was the one who destroyed it, clarifying that the revival wish only covered those killed by Frieza and his subordinates. The Namekians bristle with anger, but before anyone can respond, the Namekian Dragon Balls tumble from the sky, having been teleported along with everyone else.
Guru addresses Moori, naming him the next Grand Elder and urging him to find the Namekian people a world where they can live in peace. With those final words, Guru passes away and his body fades from sight. Piccolo quietly wishes the elder rest, and Dende, looking at Piccolo closely, realizes that he has fused with Nail.
Bulma asks where Krillin and Goku are. Gohan grimly tells her that Krillin cannot be revived a second time by the Earth's Dragon Balls, and that Goku chose to stay behind and fight Frieza. Dende interrupts with vital news: the Namekian Dragon Balls can revive a person more than once. Piccolo remarks that Goku must have a death wish to keep battling Frieza, but Gohan reveals that his father achieved the legendary Super Saiyan transformation. Vegeta overhears this and goes rigid with shock.
On Namek, Frieza floats toward Goku despite being reduced to half a body and one arm. Goku tells him to leave and learn the value of the life he was spared. Frieza mocks Goku for believing he can survive the explosion, and reveals that Vegeta already destroyed his spaceship. Undeterred, Goku declares he will find a way. As he turns to fly off, Frieza channels every scrap of gifted energy into a final desperate blast. Goku whips around and fires his Angry Kamehameha. The two attacks collide, and Goku's wave engulfs Frieza's completely, seemingly destroying the tyrant at last. Goku surveys the devastation, then rockets away to search for any means of escape.
