Evidence of Something Monstrous

Future Trunks capsulizes the wrecked Time Machine along with his own so they can be studied later. Bulma takes the eggshells for analysis while Gohan explains that they need to head to Kame House because the androids are pursuing Goku, who is still recovering from his heart virus. Bulma asks why they cannot simply fight the androids, but Future Trunks reminds her the group was soundly defeated. As they prepare to leave, Gohan notices something on the ground nearby and calls the others over. They find a massive husk shed by some kind of insect, far larger than any cicada. Future Trunks connects it to the egg inside the Time Machine and points out that the shell is still moist, meaning whatever left it molted recently. The discovery unsettles all three of them, and Bulma suggests Trunks visit if he gets the chance before they part ways.

Android 18's Detour

Elsewhere, the androids pull over in a rural town so Android 18 can shop for new clothes. She settles on a cowgirl outfit, complaining that it looks terrible but is the best a backwater store can offer. She leaves without paying, and the store owner chases their van, eventually calling the police. A patrol car gives pursuit, but Android 18 flies out and punches the front of the cruiser, sending it careening into a ditch.

Gingertown Goes Silent

On the Lookout, Kami reacts with sudden alarm, sensing something horrifying below. Piccolo presses him for details, asking if this is related to the Time Machine he mentioned earlier. At the same time, Bulma hears a radio broadcast reporting that all contact with the nearby city of Gingertown has been lost. An investigative team found the town deserted, with every resident seemingly vanished for reasons unknown. Bulma nervously realizes that Gingertown sits very close to where they found the second Time Machine.
