Cell's Last Chance

Total Domination

Cell is taken aback by Vegeta's claim that he is now "Super Vegeta," but Vegeta has no interest in explaining the title. He tells Cell to worry less about names and more about his own survival. Cell, furious at being outclassed, lashes out with his tail, but Vegeta leaps over it effortlessly and sends Cell flying with a powerful kick. He follows up with a second kick to the stomach and an elbow smash that drives Cell into the ocean below. Water erupts skyward from the impact as Cell sinks beneath the surface.

Krillin arrives above the battlefield and sees Cell's Semi-Perfect Form for the first time. Mistaking it for his completed transformation, he briefly assumes the Shut Down Remote is useless. He then notices Future Trunks standing nearby and wonders whether Trunks grew equally powerful during their training. Looking around, he spots Android 16 and Android 18 hiding on a nearby island.

Krillin's Mission

Krillin realizes that since Vegeta, Trunks, and Cell have not noticed the androids, this is his opportunity to shut them down. He remembers Bulma's warning that the remote only works within ten meters and begins his descent, hoping to get close without being detected. He also pieces together that Cell must not have reached his Perfect Form yet, since Android 17 is absent and 18 is still free. Cell must have absorbed 17 but not 18.

Cell's Frustration

Cell drags himself out of the water, breathing heavily and visibly battered. Vegeta gestures toward Future Trunks and casually mentions that even Trunks possesses nearly as much power as he does. He expresses disappointment, saying Cell's strength turned out to be far less impressive than he expected. Enraged and humiliated, Cell shouts that if he could only absorb Android 18 and achieve his Perfect Form, Vegeta would stand no chance. Meanwhile, Krillin continues creeping closer to the hidden androids, the remote clutched tightly in his hand.
