Supreme Kai reveals that Babidi has enslaved the fearsome Dabura, king of the Demon Realm, using dark magic that exploits the evil within a person's heart. As the heroes weigh their odds, Babidi callously disposes of Spopovich and Yamu before setting a trap to lure three powerful warriors inside his spaceship, where their energy will fuel Majin Buu's revival.
Kibito and Supreme Kai are visibly shaken when they realize the towering warrior beside Babidi is Dabura, king of the Dark Demon Realm. Supreme Kai explains that while the Z Fighters may rank among the strongest in the living world, Dabura holds absolute supremacy in the demon dimension. Krillin grows uneasy, and Gohan identifies the smaller figure as Babidi.
Supreme Kai elaborates on the sorcerer's abilities. Although Babidi possesses little physical strength, his magic is fierce enough to bend even Dabura to his will. His technique exploits darkness lurking within a person's heart, allowing him to seize control of their mind. Dabura, with his inherently malevolent nature, proved an ideal target. Only warriors with no trace of evil in their hearts can resist this manipulation.
Vegeta scoffs at the concern, declaring that Majin Buu will never be revived because he refuses to lose. Goku advises Krillin to leave, and Krillin gratefully agrees. Inside the ship, Babidi examines the energy device and notes that the stolen power brings them close to the threshold needed to awaken Majin Buu. Having no further use for his servants, Babidi uses sorcery to inflate Spopovich's body until the fighter bursts apart. Yamu panics and attempts to flee, but Pui Pui fires a blast that kills him instantly.
Babidi notes that the ambush attracted several uninvited guests, including Supreme Kai, the one responsible for his father Bibidi's death. Dabura counts seven fighters and observes that while Supreme Kai and Kibito's energy is useless, three of the remaining warriors radiate extraordinary power. Babidi orders Dabura to lure those three inside the ship. When Dabura questions whether Supreme Kai would cooperate, Babidi instructs him to eliminate the weaker fighters so the strong ones must follow. Babidi retreats inside and assigns Pui Pui as the first stage guardian. Left alone outside, Dabura launches toward the hidden group, and Vegeta shouts that their cover is blown.
