Stage Three Begins

Goku questions whether Gohan has kept up with his training during the years of peace. Vegeta offers a blunt assessment, noting that Gohan does not appear to have trained much and that he and Goku now surpass him in raw power. Still, Vegeta admits that if Gohan taps into his explosive anger, the outcome might change. Supreme Kai marvels at their casual confidence, struggling to accept that a deity feels so outmatched by mortal warriors.

The door slides open and Dabura steps through, commending them for defeating Yakon. He declares their journey ends here. Vegeta taunts Babidi for deploying his strongest warrior this early. Dabura invites them to attack, but Gohan claims the fight as his own. Both Dabura and Babidi bristle at his confidence.

Chaos at the Tournament

Back at the World Martial Arts Tournament, the announcer addresses the crowd about the unprecedented situation. Most competitors have abandoned the event, leaving only five fighters. Master Roshi senses a massive concentration of energy far away and grows uneasy. Backstage, Mr. Satan convinces himself the missing fighters fled in fear of him and proposes a battle royale with all five remaining contestants fighting simultaneously. The officials reluctantly agree, though one warns Satan that the other four may gang up on him, a possibility he clearly had not considered.

Quick Eliminations

The announcer introduces the competitors: champion Mr. Satan, Android 18, returning Mighty Mask, semifinalist Killa, and crowd-favorite Jewel. Killa suggests teaming up against Satan, but Mighty Mask refuses, calling 18 the only real threat. Jewel attempts to flirt with 18, who coldly dismisses him. The match begins and Jewel targets 18 for the insult, but she kicks him from the ring in a single motion. Mighty Mask punches Killa out just as swiftly. Mr. Satan is relieved the remaining opponents look manageable, but 18 notices that Mighty Mask's small arms strike far harder than expected. Inside the costume, Trunks reminds Goten that 18 once surpassed both their fathers.
