The newly freed Majin Buu bewilders everyone with childlike behavior, stretching, smiling, and ignoring Babidi's commands. Even Dabura dismisses the creature as a brainless fool. Goku and Vegeta pause their fight when Goku senses something abnormal about Buu's energy. The calm shatters when Buu gouges Dabura's eyes and kicks him into a mountain.
Majin Buu stands before the group with a wide smile. Dabura asks whether this creature is truly the legendary Majin Buu. Babidi turns to Supreme Kai, the only person who witnessed the original rampage millions of years ago. Supreme Kai confirms the identity. Buu begins stretching casually, oblivious to everyone around him.
Gohan remarks he expected Buu to be larger. Supreme Kai warns there is no escape now. Gohan acknowledges Buu's energy is incredible but notes the creature seems disinclined to do anything aggressive. At the rocky canyon, Goku tells Vegeta to hold off because a massive new power has appeared. Vegeta laughs and dismisses the threat, arguing Buu's power is nothing compared to theirs. Goku disagrees, warning that Buu's energy feels abnormal. Vegeta grows furious, accusing Goku of looking for an excuse to abandon their fight.
Babidi introduces himself to Buu as the son of his creator Bibidi and declares himself Buu's master. Buu grunts dismissively, crosses his arms, and turns away. Babidi scolds him, but Buu ignores the wizard entirely. Without warning, Buu whips around and sticks his tongue out at Babidi, scaring him badly. Buu bursts into laughter.
Dabura watches with contempt, concluding Buu is a fool. Babidi suspects Buu emerged flawed. Buu turns to Dabura and bounces around with fists raised. Dabura smirks, confident this creature is no threat. Supreme Kai insists Buu is not flawed at all. Steam hisses from the holes on Buu's head, and his playful expression twists into an evil grin. In an instant, Buu gouges Dabura's eyes and kicks the Demon King into a mountainside. Buu returns to dancing and clapping happily, as though the assault were a game. Babidi stares, now thoroughly impressed.
