Vegeta's Choice

Babidi praises Buu as the creature dances, and Gohan is shaken by the explosive surge of power he just witnessed. Elsewhere, Trunks and Goten sense the terrifying energy and race toward it. At the canyon, Goku acknowledges that Buu's awakening is their fault. Vegeta knows but insists it does not concern their fight. Goku argues everyone will be killed, including Bulma and Trunks. Vegeta snaps, screaming that he sold his soul to Babidi specifically to shed his attachments and does not care what happens to anyone. Goku sees through the outburst.

After a long pause, Vegeta concedes, noting Goku has not truly focused on their fight since sensing Buu. He asks for a Senzu Bean. As Goku reaches for the pouch, Vegeta strikes him on the back of the neck, knocking him unconscious. Vegeta takes the last Senzu Bean and eats it, declaring that because he caused Buu's revival, he will handle it. He says he will finish their fight later, if he survives.

Buu Overwhelms

Babidi warns Buu to obey, revealing he knows the incantation to seal Buu back inside the ball. The threat gets Buu's attention. Gohan observes that Buu seems childlike and wonders if defeating Babidi alone would neutralize the threat. Supreme Kai says without Babidi there is no way to seal Buu at all, and insists the creature is genuinely devastating despite appearances. He admits he originally thought he could prevent the revival himself, and had he known these mortals held far greater power, he could have taken a different approach. Gohan asks what he means, but Supreme Kai says it is too late.

Babidi orders Buu to kill them. Gohan grabs Supreme Kai and takes off, relying on his speed. Buu watches them go, then vanishes and reappears directly ahead. He swats Gohan into a mountainside with a single blow. Supreme Kai fires a telekinetic blast, but it barely affects Buu. The creature claps his hands around Supreme Kai's head and pounds the deity into the ground. Gohan begins pulling himself from the rubble as Babidi watches in delight.
