Boo Gets Mad

Vegeta Presses the Attack

Vegeta hammers Buu with relentless combinations of punches and kicks, driving the creature backward while Babidi watches in disbelief. Krillin is genuinely impressed by the Saiyan prince's ferocity, and Trunks cheers his father on with excitement. Piccolo observes that Vegeta has surpassed the basic Super Saiyan threshold, noting that his current power exceeds even the level Gohan reached during the Cell Games. Yet the memory of Gohan's defeat at Buu's hands lingers, and Piccolo fears that even this much strength may not be enough to prevail.

Regeneration Without Limit

A massive punch sends Buu tumbling across the terrain, but the creature simply hops to his feet and heals every wound in an instant. Before Buu can counter, Vegeta extends his palm and fires a concentrated beam straight through Buu's midsection, boring a clean hole through his stomach. Buu crumples to the ground, and for a tense moment Babidi is terrified his weapon has been destroyed. Vegeta allows himself a smirk, and Trunks celebrates. Then Buu stands up once more. The cavity fills with fresh pink flesh, and Buu growls that the attack actually stung a little. Vegeta recognizes that this opponent defies everything he has ever encountered.

Buu's Explosion

Buu gathers an enormous sphere of energy around his entire body, his rage building every second. He screams that he hates Vegeta, and the sheer volume of power sends shockwaves across the battlefield. Babidi quickly erects a magical barrier around himself. Piccolo grabs the others and tries to flee, but Vegeta has no time to move and can only brace himself against the oncoming blast.

The detonation carves a massive crater into the earth. Buu and Babidi float above the devastation, completely untouched. Piccolo, Krillin, Trunks, and Goten managed to escape the blast radius, though only barely. Piccolo looks back toward where Supreme Kai had been lying, fearing the worst. Trunks spots his father below, battered and visibly broken by the explosion. The gulf between Vegeta and Buu is now painfully clear to everyone watching.
