The battle between Super Saiyan 3 Goku and Majin Buu escalates into a Kamehameha duel that carves through the landscape. Despite matching Buu blow for blow, Goku recognizes the fight is pointless and drops his transformation. He negotiates a two-day ceasefire, but Buu, tired of taking orders, turns on Babidi and kills his master with a single devastating punch.
Goku lands a crushing blow to Buu's face, but Buu bounces right back with a counter-punch that sends Goku tumbling. Goku fires a Kamehameha that punches clean through Buu's stomach, yet the hole seals itself almost instantly. Buu retaliates with his own Kamehameha, having copied the technique on the spot. Goku deflects the beam back, but Buu slaps it aside, and it nearly hits Babidi before detonating in the distance. The explosion rocks the Lookout. Babidi screams at Buu to be careful, then taunts Goku for destroying a tenth of the Earth. Goku compliments Buu's gift for absorbing techniques after only a brief exchange. Buu laughs and playfully stretches his nose. Goku notices Trunks' ki speeding up, meaning the boy has found the Dragon Radar and is leaving West City.
Goku drops out of Super Saiyan 3, and Buu asks why he stopped when the fight was getting fun. Goku says it has been an honor but he has no time left. He asks them to wait two days, promising the three fighters will appear, and tells them not to kill anyone in the meantime. Buu is intrigued by strong opponents; Babidi dismisses the claim. Goku warns Babidi that Hell awaits him, then vanishes via Instant Transmission.
Babidi yells at Buu for being too slow and orders him to search for Goku. Buu ignores the command, his expression darkening. He turns with a wide grin and says he has realized something valuable. Babidi mocks his intelligence.
Buu grabs Babidi by the throat, squeezing hard enough that the wizard cannot speak. Without a voice, Babidi cannot recite the incantation to seal Buu away. Buu tells him he is no longer needed and calls him stupid. With a single punch, Buu knocks Babidi's head clean off his body, ending the sorcerer's reign of terror.
